Deacon Emeritus James McIntosh

Deacon James McIntosh was born October 28, 1929 in Greenwood County, South Carolina to the late John McIntosh and Minnie McKnight McIntosh. He was one of six children born to this union.
He resided in Dayton for many years. He retired from the City of Dayton Waste Collection after many years of service. He was a member of Mt Calvary where he served as the Chairman of the Deacon Board and retired from that position becoming a Deacon Emeritus.
He was preceded in death by his wife Willie Lee McIntosh, one son Lamanuel McIntosh, his siblings, Coleman McIntosh, Willie McIntosh, Sarah Riley, Ethel Mattison and Marion Gilmore.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, James (Renee') McIntosh, Sr. of Piedmont SC and Ellerbee (Jackie) Robertson of Dayton, OH, three daughters, Betty (Robert) Chamberlain, Denise Bussey and Jackie Mosley all of Hodges, SC, one daughter-in-law Carla McIntosh of Dayton, OH. Thirteen grandchildren, Kimberly Chamberlain, Tremayne (Kita) Chamberlain, Rhonda McIntosh, Kimberly (Cedric) Wilson, James (Tiara) McIntosh, Jr., Lee (Ladaime) McCullough, Corey (Veronica) McIntosh, Brian McIntosh, Donnie Bussey, Shaunta Harris, Sherrina (Adrian) Mosley, Lamont Robertson and Lamanuel (Tyra) McIntosh, Jr., twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, a devoted nephew Johnnie (Edna) Mattison, of Hodges, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
